It has been clear for some time now that President Donald J. Trump is running a criminal enterprise out of the White House. Finally, a credible source said it out loud on TV.
During a segment an MSNBC on Tuesday, Former Democratic National Committee chairman Howard Dean said President Trump is “running a criminal enterprise” out of the White House.
Trump is “constantly vacationing to promote his own properties,” Dean said in response to questions during the interview. “The promotion is extraordinary. There hasn’t been a president in my lifetime that’s done anything like this.”
He said in the early days of the Trump administration the constitutional business about the emoluments clause didn’t bother him so much.
The emoluments clause prohibits federal officials from taking payments from foreign governments. A federal judge dismissed a lawsuit in December from a liberal watchdog organization arguing Trump had violated the clause.
“I thought it was a far-flung argument,” he said. “I’m not an attorney.”
But now it has become clear that Trump or his staff are “shaking down foreign governments who have moved their events to his hotel in Washington at somebody’s request in order to get favors.”
“I think he’s running a criminal enterprise out of the White House and I think that’s what Bob Mueller’s on the track of,” Dean said.
Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) filed a lawsuit earlier this year claiming that because Trump has not fully divested from his businesses, he is receiving “cash and favors from foreign governments, through guests and events at his hotels, leases in his buildings, and valuable real estate deals abroad.”
Trump’s frequent visits to his own properties have also been viewed harshly by critics and ethics experts, who say it gives his organization free publicity, although the president himself supposedly no longer manages the company.
Special counsel Robert Mueller is currently investigating the Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election and possible obstruction of justice on the part of Trump campaign associates as well as conflicts of interest on the part of the president and his companies.
Trump has repeatedly denied collusion with Russia and has called the probe a “witch hunt.”
He clearly thinks as president he is above the law and he can get away with anything.
Someone needs to stop him and the sooner the better. His actions are undermining the credibility of the United States government and damaging American democracy.

Why religion should never be involved in politics: (as reported on cable news + other sources) white evangelicals will always support Trump, no matter what, “because he is the man that will bring about Armageddon and thereby FORCE the return of Jesus to earth”-ISIS has similar beliefs. Calvinist believe that rich people, no matter how they acquired their wealth, are “favored of God” and that the poor and weak are in a station “preordained by God”; as such, we can willfully abandon the poor, strip health care from those that can’t afford it, and destroy the earth because, after the “rapture” the “good people” will be gone and who cares about anyone else? It is time to tax those that would willfully spew rhetoric of hate and to take so-called religion out of politics-these are the real criminals.
