To whom it may concern at the Freedom of the Press Foundation:
You should be aware of the real story behind the Elon Musk-Hacker-Trump invasion of the Treasury Department and Social Security System data. The real story is Trump’s “Enemies List” – which was unconscionable even in Richard Nixon’s corrupt time in the White House. Musk and his little team of hackers now have the entire database on every American and their Social Security information and they are going to use it for RETRIBUTION, to screw anyone who ever said a bad word on social media about Trump.
If you live in a red state and have never criticized Trump publicly, you might escape the worst of this. Everybody else beware.

While the group was supposedly assigned to cut costs, members are “attempting (not attempting, they did it) to access government data to support initiatives to block federal funds from reaching certain disfavored beneficiaries,” according to the suit. Mr. Musk has publicly stated his intention to “recklessly freeze streams of federal funding without warning,” the suit said, pointing to his social media posts in recent days.

So in my case – and there’s no doubt I am on the ENEMIES LIST as a journalist of 40 years who has published more than 1,000 stories about Trump since he first started running for president – one of my bank accounts where my Social Security was directly deposited for the past 5 years, a Money Network bank pay card I’ve had for 20 years, was frozen for an entire week after the February payment was deposited on Monday. On Friday, even after I had complied with every demand from the bank to prove my identity, they zeroed out the account and closed it, without my consent.
I explained that my Social Security was being deposited in the account and I needed access to the funds IMMEDIATELY. I was planning to transfer the money out of that account anyway and open a new, federally insured account at a local Independent bank. They claimed they would be mailing me a check to a previous address, even though I explained that I am no longer at that address.
There is NO WAY this is accidental. For all I know Elon Musk now owns the Money Network bank, and I’m hearing from others who had the same thing happen to them. If you work for Walmart, Pizza Hut, or many other companies who use the bank, you may now be subject to having your funds frozen and your account closed.
This is a blatant violation of U.S. law and a massive security breach NOT from China, Russia, Iran or North Korea but from INSIDE the U.S. government. It is also a massive national security threat, especially considering that Musk and his companies are dependent on China and Saudi Arabia in major ways.
THIS MUST BE STOPPED somehow, and one federal judge’s order will not be enough. They will just appeal to the Trump Supreme Court and keep doing what they are doing.
