By Glynn Wilson –
MOBILE, Ala. – Judge Roy Moore is finished.
Done.
If his homophobic, bigoted positions and ignorance of law were not enough, it has now been confirmed that he is also a sex fiend, maybe a pedophile.
Alabama had it’s Bentley affair. They will never elect another sex fiend.
In case you’ve been asleep, at work, don’t have Facebook or Twitter on your phone and you don’t yet know, the Washington Post broke a story today proving that Roy Moore had a sexual encounter with a 14-year-old girl in his early days as an assistant district attorney in Etowah County. He was 32.
He is also accused by three other women who say he tried to approach them for sex when they were between 16 and 18 and he was in his 30s.
Leigh Corfman, now 53, who works as a customer service representative at a payday loan business, says she has voted for Republicans in the past three presidential elections. She even voted for Donald Trump.
She says Moore met her several times when he was a local prosecutor in his 30s and at one point drove her to his home where he touched her over her underwear and guided her hand to touch him over his, the Post reported. There was no intercourse, because she demanded to be taken home.
Moore denied the allegations in a written statement.
“These allegations are completely false and are a desperate political attack by the National Democrat Party and the Washington Post on this campaign,” Moore said. The campaign said in a subsequent statement that if the allegations were true they would have surfaced during his previous campaigns, adding “this garbage is the very definition of fake news.”
But that’s not going to fly this time.
After The Post published this story Thursday afternoon, Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, the Republican from Kentucky, and a handful of other Republican senators, said Moore must step aside if Corfman’s account is true.
“These allegations are deeply disturbing,” Republican Governor Kay Ivey said. “I will hold judgment until we know the facts. The people of Alabama deserve to know the truth and will make their own decisions.”
Moore’s opponent in the U.S. Senate race, Democrat Doug Jones, simply said: “Roy Moore needs to answer these serious charges.”
Senator Richard Shelby, the Republican from Tuscaloosa, first reminded reporters that he supported Luther Strange. Then, he said: “If that’s true, I don’t believe there’d be any place for him in the United States Senate.”
Senator John McCain, the Republican from Arizona, said the allegations disqualify Moore for public office.
“The allegations against Roy Moore are deeply disturbing and disqualifying,” McCain said. “He should immediately step aside and allow the people of Alabama to elect a candidate they can be proud of.”
Wildly rampant talk on Facebook and Twitter of Republicans replacing Moore on the ballot December 12 are all wrong. According to Alabama law, it is too late to replace his name on the ballot even if he files a notice of withdrawal.
“At this point ballots have already been printed and absentee voting has begun in our 67 counties,” said Brent Beal, the deputy attorney general in Alabama’s office of Secretary of State. “Because of this, no change to the ballot can be made for the Dec. 12 election.”
It’s over.
Even Alabama Republicans ran from former Governor Robert Bentley when it was proved he had an illicit sexual encounter with a political aide. It did too much damage to the Republican Party. They will run from Moore too. The suburbanites will not tolerate this.
The Tea Party is Over: Suburbia Revolts Against Trump and Do Nothing Congress
Late Breaking Add:
State Auditor Jim Zeigler stands by his man Roy Moore, who he endorsed along with Trump, comparing him to the father of Jesus in a statement to the aggregation site the Washington Examiner.
“Zechariah was extremely old to marry Elizabeth and they became the parents of John the Baptist,” Zeigler said. “Also take Joseph and Mary. Mary was a teenager and Joseph was an adult carpenter. They became parents of Jesus.”
It is not clear yet how this will play with Christian voters in Alabama, but we can hear the sheeple leaving the pasture in droves. He’s toast.

“There’s just nothing immoral or illegal here,” Ziegler concluded. “Maybe just a little bit unusual.” — Wash Post article — What is Ziegler suggesting about ordinary practices in Alabama? Or does this show Doug Jones was correct in saying Alabama is often an embarrassment to itself?
In reply to dunder.
Well, Ziggy, in this part of the state, we label guys like Moore as pedophiles. What normally happens up in Gadsden?
If this was any other state, I would agree this monster is finished—but it is Alabama, after all. For decades those folks have voted into office cruds who have nothing to offer except to yell “Gawd” as loud and long as possible, and who certainly have no intention of helping anyone but themselves. I kept waiting for the voters to wake up, but now I do believe they are just mentally defective for the most part. He will continue dragging the 10 Commandments and a gun around and nothing will change, I fear. One can always hope, though. Thank you for what you do to help the state; thankfully, I have left that poison.
I fear you have too much trust in the ‘intelligence’ of the voting public.
It has nothing to do with the intelligence of the voting public. It has to do with the tides of history, turning over in the right direction. The demographics favor this by 2020 anyway. This could be the start of a Crimson Tide to shake things up and change course. If people will show up and vote.
Whoever Sissy is he/she is aptly named for comdemning everyone in Alabama as mentally defective without being brave enough to leave their name on the hateful post! I will continue working as hard as possible to elect Doug Jones because we need and deserve him, someone who has a heart and a mind to represent the State if Alabama in Washington. I, and many people like me are supporting zjones for those reasons and to prove wrong those like you who want to mass condemn everyone in Alabama and paint us all with the same misleading opinion. Have a good day😌
